Penryn, Gorrangorras: 1 Yellow-browed Warbler behind the reedbed, Kingfisher, 11 Dunlin, 2 Greenshank, 2 Grey Wagtail, 13 Teal at low tide. Islington Wharf area: Common Sandpiper, Firecrest and Goldcrest on footpath below the church, 1 Mistle Thrush, 6 Song Thrush, 1 Redwing, 1 m Blackcap. Falmouth, Castle Beach: 2 Sanderling roosting, 4 Oystercatcher, 1 f Black Redstart. Falmouth Bay: Flock of 3 Eider and 6 Teal flew into the Carrick Roads, 1 Black-throated Diver in flight. Swanpool: 1 Kingfisher, 1f Pochard, 5 Little Grebe, 5 Mediterranean Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Little Egret, 2 Water Rail (h), 2 m Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Goldcrest, 3 Bullfinch. Swanvale: 1 Nuthatch. Porth Reservoir: 4 Great crested Grebe, 21 Coot, 2 Teal, 3 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Redshank, 2 Tufted Duck, 7 Grey Wagtail, 3 Tawny Owl heard and many Redwing. (S Grose)
